March 8: The International Women's Day.
It 's much more a bunch of mimosa, phrases or sentimental male strippers.
not even celebrate this holiday, but when that day comes I get lost in so many readings, also on the web, to remind myself why we had to arrive at a date to remember the woman.
How many harassment she has endured over the centuries, the struggles have been made for us the rights we have today.
Everything was a breakthrough because women have always had more responsibilities as rights.
The world had for us and will always be uphill. Well now it's probably stupid to complain, but even today, in 2011, also in the West, in certain contexts, a woman must fight every day and not to be equal to man, (heaven forbid!), but not to be considered inferior, not to have to work three times to get half. Not to mention the rest of the world ... Well there have nothing to celebrate.
My thoughts go to those who have lost their lives to give me what I have today, those who have sacrificed their lives for an ideal became a reality, but to those who have sacrificed in order to survive, who has been abandoned , who has grown children all alone, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, who work outside and inside the house, who is dedicated to making home a better place for those who lives. Greetings to you all!

And my table today was tinged with yellow as the mimosa, flower-symbol chosen in 1946 by the 'Union of Italian Women (UDI). A flower that blooms around this time, yellow as the vitality, strength and joy, but also as a yellow representation of the passage from death to life, to remember all those who have made ours a better world.
There are so many nice dishes and desserts to be provided for this festive day. I wanted to try the mimosa cake but it seemed a bit "too" as the abuse of cakes for the carnival.
And as I prepared all of my father, as every year, brought me a beautiful bouquet of roses and mimosas ^ _ ^, the series "I do not like this flower, do not celebrate this holiday," but the gesture is always greatly appreciated so thanks papi! :)
